Darrel Perkins is a printmaker, illustrator, and educator from Rhode Island, USA, currently based in Dubai, UAE. My relief prints are characterized by intricate, flowing patterns, carved and printed in bold contrast using a limited palette—often black and white. My work frequently depicts the human form within narrative scenes, drawing on nautical, literary, and philosophical themes.
Linocut relief printmaking is my primary technique, but I also work in drawing, painting, screen printing, and intaglio. Across all mediums, I maintain a tactile, tangible approach, with each piece carefully crafted by hand.
